Landscaping

Dear PTO families:

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank our eagle scout candidate, Daniel Lowery, and his family for creating a terrific new outdoor classroom outside of the 1st and 2nd grade classrooms. They worked especially hard on a place that will be a respite for our teachers and students for many years to come. Also, all of the dying trees have been taken down outside of Dr. Rockey's 4th grade classroom and Daniel and his troop laid sod to restore the area....he didn't need to do this but again, went the extra mile! Thanks also to Karen McMillion for creating a new butterfly garden for our Kindergarten classes near the upper playground.

Please take an opportunity to walk through the inside courtyard garden to see our new outdoor classroom, butterfly bench, and bathtub! Thanks to all who hauled the rock away and to Mike and Madonna Smith who planted a forsythia and sealed the outside seating for the classroom. Thanks also to Sally and Roger Reichert who supplied the physical labor to get the courtyard classroom finished even when they have no children left at CVE.
