Hello from the CVE Parent Teacher Organization!

Thank you for all of your support with the CVE PTO fundraising efforts this past year!  Please take a minute to see how YOUR support has benefited not only CVE School, but each and every student/teacher/staff during the school year.

PTO Purchases for 2009-2010 school year:

• ‘Welcome’ Teacher/Staff Luncheon
• Spoon Man Assembly
• Aliquippa Steel Drum Band Assembly
• Books for Library and Classrooms
• Magician Assembly
• Initial funds for Mazza Collection for 2010-11 school year
• ‘Thank You’ Teacher/Staff Luncheon
• Ice Pops for Field Day for all students
• Kindergarten Lunches; allows kindergarten students to
• have lunch in the cafeteria before starting 1st grade. 
• Ice Cream Day for all students
• Gazebo construction for the Kindergarten and First Grade Playground (to create shaded area for students)

2009-2010 Budget Surplus will go to:

• Lower level Accelerated Reader books for library
• 2 flip cameras for Computer Lab to record student activities
• 2 ELMO projectors w/carts - each grade level will now have own projector
• $25 for each teacher for classroom start-up
• School Spirit T-shirts for every student next year
• $8 per student for field trips
• Burnable CDs and DVDs for student/teacher use
• Project money to Eagle Scouts: to build outdoor classrooms and revamp nature trail to be used by all students.
• Funds to enhance Library/Computer Lab

In addition:

Landscaping Committee:  applied and secured funds through 2 grants this past school year, totaling $3,000.00, designated for CVE Courtyard enhancements.  Please check out the new and exciting changes happening in the courtyard!

Holiday Shop Committee:  spends $2,000 each year purchasing approximately 8,000 items for the CVE students to shop for family and friends during the holiday season.  All items every year are only $1!
